Operation While Impaired

Saugeen Shores Police were conducting proactive radar in the area of Goderich Street when they observed a vehicle travelling in excess of the post speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted.

 

While speaking with the driver officers observed signs of impairment. The driver was subjected to a road side breath screening which registered a FAIL. The driver was arrested and transported to the Saugeen Shores Police station for further testing.

 

As a result of this traffic stop a 70-year-old of Etobicoke has been charged with Operation while Impaired (80+). His licence was suspended and his vehicle was impounded.
